alright, this is gonjasufi, we're at amoeba on sunset and this is what's in my bag. alright, so i went digging. i like going through the world section, y'know for gigs like this. just the cover on this one just looks brutal. i've really been into some eastern music right now. that's where i've been going stuff that i don't know what it's about. found some weird korean-ish.
i'll pop 'em on and if something gets... y'know, i'll steal something if i get the chance. and then tell everybody i made it. like this gig right here. i have no idea who this dude is. but just the print is brutal. it's a good label. yeah, y'know, some weird guitar shit. dude sitting on his boat and shit, playing an electric. that's pretty brutal, right? in the water, playing an electric? that takes some balls. this gig right here. ethiopian, i believe.
can't wait to play this one. this is well.. i think it's from nigeria. this is from dollar bins, stuff i don't know who it is. she looks like she's pouring her all into it. this is a decrepit ass cover. i was like, fuck yeah. i don't know anything about this dude. what really got me was the price: 25 cents. and then in the dollar bin, y'know, through the rap section i got some sunz of man wu-tang affiliates.
got this das efx for 50 cents. whoridas. these are the ones i'm pretty stoked on right here. this is pablo god, 'bloodsuckers.' this dude's pretty slept on and puts out some good music, man. dubs that he puts on, he'll always put a dub version. when i got turned on to him, i was surprised that i didn't know who he was. he doesn't sound like anybody, kind of like how hugh mundell has his own voice compared to all the other reggae singers. he's just in his own class.
and then this one. ooo-weee bro. this is the heat. this is that h.r. 'singin' in the heart.' it's got 'fool's gold' 'youthman sufferer,' it's got the 'fool's gold' dub. i'm a big fan of h.r., y'know, bad brains. he went from the punk to the dub shit so this one's a come-up, man. only eight dollars for the og press. i'm fuckin' stoked though, with this one. and then, y'know, the old school compton's most wanted, 'one time gaffled 'em up.' i'm a big time vhs fanatic, and a cassette fanatic
and y'know, 45s, i really haven't been digging for vinyl in a long time because when we go digging through the thrift stores, me and my boys so much battling going on for the sections that i just let them go for the vinyl and i'll go for the cassettes and vhs and then this one i'm pretty stoked to get, yo 'kill at will,' ice cube sick-ass shirt. dead homiez. one of my biggest influences. and i bought a bunch of posters
and this one right here, i walked in and jimi was just staring at me. look in his eyes, man, like you could see his soul i mean, look at this man, that's a beautiful man look at the way he dresses, his whole aura. that's something that y'know, i need in the house to inspire me, man i want my kids to see this, wake up and remember this in the home so... thank you amoeba. thank you so much. thank you, love. respect.
