and a number of roads also closed. and lisa washington is live near one of the closed roads. reporter: good morning. we're along 422 in indiana county, highway 422. and i want to show you the road here it is closed.
this is north of anthony reason road. and in the last few minutes, the pen dot truck drove up to where the road closed signs are. and these are heavy rains that closed the road. and one person drowned due to
the flooding. and that person is identified as 30-year-old justin mccoy. he and his father were trying to remove some debris and his kayak flipped over and his legged got stuck in the pipe trapping him and the pond continued to rise and he was
sub merged. and you -- sub emergencied. submerged. one local fire chief described for us the efforts they had to did to rescue someone from a home. we had flooding off golfers run.
the water was across the roadway and we had to tie some guys off on ropes and send them across and they reached the house and got the last individual out. reporter: and that is the chief of the he elterton fire department.
and there's a creek here. but use being see, the creek is overflowed and the water is a virtual pond aside from the roadway here. this is 422 north of anthony run road. so there will be a lot of cleanup going on today.
but with more rain. you heard ron mention that the national weather service has the flood warning that goes through 2:45 tomorrow morning so if you're going to be in this area, you need to be careful and watch your speed. a number of roads closed this
morning.
