hi there and welcome to a very englishepisode of ignition this car was built by aston martin in the same workshop wherethey made the 177 they have badge it a lagonda they have named it the taraf andthey're charging $1,000,000 but is it any good i flew all the way across thepond to find out aston martin is relaunching the lagonda brand why because sedans and in oh yes suvs outsell two-door sports cars by a wide marginlagonda is over 100 years old they made a name for themselves making sportyforeign six-cylinder two seaters and even won the 24 hours of lemon but like mostcar companies they went bankrupt in the nineteen thirties however a new ownerafter winning a bidding war against

rolls-royce brought in none other thanwo bentley himself sign and build laganas culminating with the awesome1939 rapide industrialist david brown whose initials but the dbe into astonsbought lagonda after world war two and from time to time would release a four-dooraston martin usually bad repead then in the mid-nineteen seventies came thewillingham towns lagonda in production or something resembling productions formore than a decade it's often said that the only round part of the lagonda are the wheels instead of an instrumentcluster the lagonda has three tiny tv sets that never worked

rumor holds that they nearly bankruptthe company as you can see the taraf share something a resemblance with thebrilliant william towns car in fact a taraf is the larger longer vehicle asidefrom the never working tv's another lagonda beef with the snug back seat the taraf does not have this problem which one of these two looks better without everthinking it i'm just gonna go with my childhood memories and say thewedge-shaped green one it's a true classic regardless of which one i like betterthe relationship between aston and lagonda has been renewed by the taraf a cynic would look at the taraf and sayit's just a repean with a body kit within that

cynic doesn't know very much about modern carbuilding this is how you do it the taraf sits on aston martins v8 platform thesame platform they've been using for ever and yes they are getting away withit with the introduction of the all-new db 11 however just like how all futurerolls royces the phantom the ghost the whatever will be built on an aluminumspace frame this car is built on the underpinnings of other aston martins andthat's fine you only beat include the familiar 5.9 liter v12 still built ingermany that's been in production for a very long time in this state of tune itmakes an under stress 540 horsepower there's still a tourque tubeconnecting it to a rear-mounted

transaxle the body is 100% carbon fibergo and find me another carbon fiber sedan i'll wait just kidding there aren'tany as far as the looks go i mean it is long and low andwide got this sexy tumble home and this incredible sharp crease still has thegorgeous aston martin front fender this c-pillar has to be the best-looking c-pillarin the business not crazy about the color of the little bit a camry beigebut you can get into any color you like and i just it's one of those cars youhave to see in person two dimensions don't do it justice andthe more time you spend with it the more you'll like it personally i think it isjust brilliant

behind the wheel of the lagonda taraf let's start by talking about those extra eight inches whatthey do is they get the car a wheel base intense longer than a hundred and twentyfive inches so what is that longer that well longer than jaguar xj long wheel baselonger than mercedes-benz s class long wheel base and just over an inch shorterthan the all-new bmw 7 series long wheel base so competitively speaking that's the size you have between the wheels but i would say much more importantly thoseextra inches help the taraf drive just great i was notexpecting much from this car i sort of thought they'd be here making a lot ofexcuses and trying not to hurt aston martin's feelings but this thing rides great

huge pothole thought it was going to be this major impact nope i just left the suspension in normal mode because it's so good why bother making its stiffer very elegant yet sporting car speaking ofwhich i have the transmission sport mode i just like the way it drives that way andwhat i love about this car all modern aston martin is you put in sport mode turn the car offcome back to the next morning start up it's still in sport mode it's great now these buttons and really everything i'mlooking at is this a classic aston martin in fact if i blindfold you andwalk in the car took it off you think your in a rapide or in db9 so this isthe worst part of the car gauges are

that legible is no indicator red line ofthe tachometer spins backwards i can't clear this ice warning thing doesn't sixdegrees celsius outside and you know it's just a little old the navsystem not that good but there is a solution let me show you something there is little devices nowand they're crazy you can talk into them and see where you'd like to go and it'lltell you turn-by-turn how to get there they mightonly be for the very rich but you know if the nav system isn't good enough so even though it might look like a db9 in here it does notdrive like one and that is a hundred percent due to the wonderful transmission

this transmission this vedette eight speedis the brits love to say solves every single complaint i've ever had about amodern aston martin the car drive so good so impossibly well i was talking to myfriend at aston martin why did it take you so you like it then you'regonna like the new aston martin that are coming i love it not just a matter of like this is howthey always all should have been no more excuses to be made it's wonderful i was very surprised bythis car is almost cynical they want to relaunch the look on the brand technically this isn't an aston martinand there was gonna middle east only car which they did such a good job with this car that other people wantedso aston's new ceo andy palmer he did a

crash mini engineering program and nowthey're selling this thing in the uk and america some acceleration for you this car is just awesome million dollar question is the taraf worth it to answer that i'm going to show you my watch this is a casio g-shock aviator and i picked up in japanfor about $300 soon as i got back to the states i realize you can get the exactsame watch on amazon for $260 swiss watchmaker recad mill which very well might be pronounced richard mill i don't know because i don't buy watches that cost two milliondollars yes they make a two million dollar watch and you know what does ittell time just like my casio but that's

not the point clearly there's some newmoney silliness going on with a car like this old russian joke like hey boris checking out new tie $500.00 serg you idiot same tie across the street $1,000 theresome of that ok fine but to really understand this car you have to go where it lives where it spend it's life there's area calledberkeley square there the other day and there are more s classes than there aretaxicabs so you know if you hang around there why would you buy a maybach why would you get another rolls-royce or a bentley if you need a sedan get this so yes if you have the money absolutely the taraf is worth it not expected to like this carall that much instead i love it just a

unique experience very special car veryspecial car hey youtubers did you like that episode of ignition you just watched well guesswhat is a brand new one right now watch the latest episode of ignitionright now on motor trend on demand ready and i'll do one's normal for youok which obviously is the one cyrus will use the service your watching it nowuses take many british i can't think of anything that's all that i can think i saw thoseon saturday unknowingly practice like all great just let me start off as asingle stock shed you so give us show

how do you think our family's history has affected us? oh god... [laughing] when was the time you were proudest of me, and why? maybe getting up to read that poem at your dad's memorial service. because nobody asked you to do anything, i didn't expect you to... you know, you weren't even 13,

and you found something very special that meant something to you. and you got up and did it. so... that made me feel like you knew who you were. and you wanted to- maybe i thought i did... yeah, well. what are the three best memories we share? i think some of the nice, one of my nicest earliest memories

is when i would come home from st. mark's and i would be in the kitchen, and the light would be coming through the windows, and you'd cook me tortellini, and i would just sit at the table and eat it. yeah. three best... what is the hardest thing about being a mother? oh, it's like watching...

watching your child make mistakes, and- and know that they're making them? well, from my point of view. i'm not you. and i'm not a young man, um in the middle of a family of three boys who lost their dad. i grew up in a very big, in a very different kind of a big 'nuclear' family. mhm. but, i would also say that it's been hard for me

to have the courage to be angry with you. i actually don't think i've done that enough. okay. you know? to be able to say "i think that's like a really fucking bad idea!" and to have more strength of purpose behind what i was thinking. sure. when do you think i take you for granted? and why? when do you think...

i don't think you've ever taken me for granted. i've never had that feeling, ever. really? i don't agree with you at all. i feel like i've, well... no, just because...yeah. what? you're going to have to explain that one to me. i just feel like i've kind of counted on you to be... the good one. i mean, i don't think that's taking me for granted

i think that's just hoping that there weren't that was going to be any extra, additional problems. mmm... i don't know if thats...well maybe that's taking me for granted. for my behavior. yeah, making assumptions about who i wanted you to be. but it didn't always stay like that. no. my behavior.

god. it wasn't that bad! yeah, but those things you were selling that i found in like the foot stool of that chair in your room... nitrous oxide canisters? yeah! i mean, you get them from a dining supply company. okay, whatever. if you could change one thing about me, what would it be? and why?

um... if i could change one thing about you... what would it be and why? well nothing is, hm, well... theoretically it's not unchangeable, but you're not a man. hm. you know? no, i know.

and that's very difficult, sometimes. only having a mother. and then the other men in your life being ones that are so com- could be so overbearing, and want you to do so much of the "right thing" and the "right decision." but it's difficult when you're a young boy growing up and you want to do things, and you have a mother, only a mother. that's very sensitive, and cares a lot about you, and worries about you... what do you think are my best qualities as a mother?

oh, god. understanding. i try. well, no, you do very well at that. you know, everyone asks me like, you know, "what happened with your work?" "what did your mum say?" "what did you..." and i just tell them sort of what you said to me when i came home. and i just said that i needed your help.

well you asked for help both from people at work and from me, and i think that's, that's one of the hardest things to do. to ask people for help. just to like, reach out and hope that somebody is gonna come towards you. and i find it hard to ask for help. i just, i wanna be seen as someone who knows how to get things done. why do you love me? [laughing' oh! how could i not love you?

oh my god, i think...that's a terrible question. so you don't have to answer it. no, because i just, i... you're my little benjamino... i used to call you um, my honey-coated mischief maker. well. you were, oh my god, so sweet. and you didn't always want to go out either.

it was really nice to just watch videos with you, and there are so many things. i think you're like, just a really beautiful person. and i'm really really proud that you're my son. thank you, mum. thank you. you know how much i love you. well done.

don’t even know how he got there. he keeps truckin along til three gnarly beastiesstart mad doggin him. sh*t’s bout to get real tilthe poet virgil saves his ass and tell him he been sent by his old biddy beatrice whoboppin up in heaven. dante starts trippin when he hearsthe screams of da uncommitted, peeps who didn’t do sh*t with their lives. but his guide, virgil, tells him to stop being a bitch and start their journey through the 9 circles of hell. after gettin straight clocked out, dante wakes up in limbo- the first circle. now this hood filled with all da righteous soulswho lived before christianity or never got

themselves baptized. the second circle be full oflustful peeps who just couldn’t keep it in their pants. up in here, minos sorts alldem sinners in to the right circles. up in the third circle be all thegluttons. whether it be sippin too muchdrank, blowin too much dank, or grubbin too hard, all deez fools gettin served by cerberus. the fourth circle packed with alldem greedy shysters who don’t do nothin but chase paper. and the fifth got all dawrathful souls scrappin on the surface of the styx river. then our hero rolls up to the cityof dis. behind these walls lie homies who dun really f**ked up.

in the sixth circle, dante peeps all the heretics get lit up in red-hot sepulchres. the seventh circle spillin overwith homies who been violent towards others, themselves, and god. then dante and virgil hop on a monster called geryon, who takes em to malebolge- the eighth circle. this crib sportin all dem fakers who been frontin with magic, astrology and otha sh*t. then our boys swang over to the ice-cold 9th circle of hell; where satan himself be torturin all them snitch traitors of history. virgil and dante decide they gonna peace out and slide down the beast’s body to purgatory. this poem be the first part ofdante’s three-part divine comedy. but it ain’t called a comedy cuz dante got jokes. you see me laughin?

most scholarly hoods point out thatliterary comedy starts out with some real twisted sh*t but ends up all good in the hood. and dante’s whole shebang starts off in hell and ends in paradise. listen up blood cuz dante layin allsorts of allegory on yo bitch ass. on one level, the inferno representin all the temptationmankind gotta rough through in order to find salvation. dante trying to find god thinkin itain’t no thang, but the true path, blocked by three slobberin beasts. and dem haterssymbolize all the sins dante gotta overcome before he can smoke and sip with the big g. but dat ain’t the only allegorydante pimpin. not only is he talkin spiritual, but he also talkin political. see in 1302,dante got stright exiled outta florene during

a coup. and as a result, fool was just slidingaimlessly from spot to spot for the rest of his days. so the dark wood that dante gets lost in notonly representin his spirit searching for god, but also his wanderingdays after gettin exiled. but of all historical poets, why did dantechoose virgil to guide him through the underworld? wellback in the day, virgil wrote bout how troy’s fall led to the establishment of rome. and just as the beginning of thetrojan’s journey to rome was a raw grind, dante had to man the f**k up and roll throughhell and purgatory before getting to heaven. hey thanks for kickin it with yourboy. don’t stop reading and check me out next week.

peace!

done on do are hi everybody. my name is in jin moon and welcome to i-home church. and for those of you joining us for thefirst time, don't forget to subscribe to our email list. today i would like to talk about the magic of true love and

i have a little story to share with all of you. i have a dear, dear friend that i've [chuckles] known for many, many years and you know, whenever we talk about love and whenever we talk about relationship he goes into this [laugh]-- into thisheadache mood or what i call the "monk scream," and you know, he is absolutely terrified of the number 2 and he used to tell me that you know, "for me, relationships kind of feels like 'one and one equals two,' and

the number 2 for some reasonjust terrifies me." and i said, "why is it?" and he says, "well, the number 2 kind of looks like abeautiful, graceful, swan but if you put a little beak in front of that, 2, the starting point, it can look like a beautiful [chuckle] swan with a terribly sharp beak." and he says, "i'mterrified of deep or meaningful relationships because i grew up in a family where

my father was mercilessly hen-pecked bymy mother and i just don't want to find myself in that situation or in that quandary ever, so i would much rather do away with any deep meaningful relationships and dowhat i need to get by but it just absolutely terrifies me." and so when i heard him say these words to me,you know, it got me thinking. and yes, he is

absolutely right, when you're talkingabout relationship one and one equals two in that youknow, two people come together because we'resomehow put together or bound together or working together. and i think many times we kind of look at one and one equals two, as a very simplistic mathematical equation but more important than the number, i think, is the word 'and.'it's "one"

'and' one" that equals two. and that's where the magic of relationshipsor magic of true love comes into play, that helps makes thenumber 2, these two people coming together a wonderful relationship that could belikened to being in heaven or an extremely difficultrelationship that can be likened to being in hell. and rumi has awonderful quote, rumi of course is thepersian mystic and he used to say

that "whenever we can manage to love without expectation, without calculation and without negotiation, then we are in heaven." and i think he is absolutely right and hits home in many respects because relationships are made difficult because we do have and we do tend to put a lot ofexpectations on the relationships

or on the other person and sometimes when we are engaged in relationships, all we're doing isthinking about, well you know, creating lists. you know, 'my list is this. you know, "his list is that. who owes more?" or "whose turn is it to give? or, "whose turn is it to receive?" and it gets really, really burdensome or many times we are constantly negotiating with each other, like, "okay, you do this for me then i do this foryou. if you make me feel good

then i will love you," and it's all of these conditions that makes relationships incrediblydifficult and complicated and fraught with misunderstanding on both sides. and so when my father, the rev. sam myung moon teaches that in order to have a wonderfulrelationship with somebody be it a parent or a child or a spouse orsiblings, my father has always encouraged us tolive for the sake of others, practicing true love. and so

when he says, "live for the sake of others," i think for many, many years, many peoplehave kind of understood that as total self-annihilation for the other, total self-denial. but we gotta beliving in order to live [chuckle] for the sake of others. but i think a better way to understand what he means by that is that living for the sake ofothers, practicing true love, implies that it's something that needsto be learned; it's something that needs to bepracticed, it's something that

we need to kind of work on, to go about being this true love-- true-love individual or men and women that we would all like to be. and when we are truly living for the sake of others, the way i like to understand it, is that, 'we live for the sake of others when we learn to care about the other person's happiness justbecause.' meaning, we wish the other person

all the happiness and all the love andall the well wishes not because we're expecting anything [chuckle] in return, not because we're calculating where do we stand vis-ã -vis the other person in terms of our list. not because we are in the middle of thisfantastic negotiation [laughs] that "the other side," you know, "might be slightly ahead andnow it's my turn to be ahead," and almost as if looking at a relationship as a trade or a bargain of some sorts, you know, instead of thinking about it in that

way, when you live for the sake of othersand when you genuinely wish upon somebody and you more than wish, actually learn to care about the other person's happiness, just because, without any strings attached. that's whenyou are in a prime situation to practice this thing called "true love." and rev. moon, my father, defines true love in this way. he says, "there are qualities

of true love and there are four qualities." he says that, "true love is absolute. it is eternal. it is unique and unchanging." and so if we are to ask the help from merriam-webster's dictionary and welook up these words, we realized that the word "absolute" means, "free from imperfection or mixture." in other words in order to be that person of true love, we gotta be, quote, "perfectly us." you gotta be,"perfectly you."

genuine, honest, transparent in order to be that person who wantsto practice true love living for the sake of others. but asecond definition of the word, "absolute," means, "free from control, restriction," or "qualification." and 'qualification'means, 'limitation or modification.' in other words, you know, "i love you. now, just change and do all these thingsthat i expect you to do." but if we are truly an absolute

person, practicing true love what we are doing is not busycontrolling, modifying, limiting or restricting the other person but we are free in terms of our ability tolove because we want the other person to love us freely just as we want to love the other person freely. in other words, it'sa very natural relationship. now when we look at the second quality, the eternal

quality in true love you know, the word 'eternal' means,'everlasting and perpetual,' and it is everlasting when we practice these qualities of true love because it's freely received and freely given. in other words its eternal and not temporal. we're notstuck on the superficialities of this imperfectworld that we live in. what we are concentrating on is that eternal beauty of the other person, the ability to just truly love, kind oflike the way

a parent loves a child. it doesn't matter you know, what happens in our lives. theminute child is placed in our hands, that child is eternally our loved one, our beloved, and we love this child regardless of what happens in the course of one's life.it's the kind of a parental love. and the interesting thingabout this love is that when it is eternal and it is freely givenand freely received, it is not exhausting.

when the love is not eternal and it's temporal, or the superficial kind of love, it takes a great deal of effort to keep itgoing. it is extremely exhausting and it justtakes so much wind out of you. but when love is freely given and received,it creates it's own energy that perpetuates the dynamic of what you have with the other person. and the third quality that my fathertalks about is, the word 'unique.' the word 'unique' means, 'one of a kind,' or, 'very unusual' [laughs].

'true love' is indeed very [chuckle] unusual in this imperfect or in this temporalworld. it's kind of like, finding 'a diamond inthe rough' because "true love" is uniquely unselfish. when we wish upon the other, infinite happiness, you know, what we aredoing is concentrating on what we can be responsible for, not overly taxing ourselves, trying to control theother person, trying to restrict or

modify the other person to our liking butreally always thinking about you know, what can we do to help make this person a happier person. and in that way, we can enjoy this incredibly one-of-a-kind, beautiful, very unusual, unpredictable, kind of love that is ever-exciting and that is ever-compelling to the twopeople involved, the

"one and one." and the fourth quality is "unchanging." and again this quality is very much a parental kind ofa love in that 'unchanging' means, 'unalterable.' itcannot be substituted. in other words, it is a quality that kind of implies that love is notbased on certain conditions. conditions canchange all the time. you know, you can-- you and i can have a beautiful relationship with our sibling or our parent but then

the condition change, something happensand does that mean that because theconditions change and you are not loving me the way iwant you to love me, i love you less? no! "true love" is notlike that. "true love" is unchanging in that it isunconditional. it is not what you do for me thatdetermines how much i'm going to love you. i am going to love you with an unchangingheart, with an eternal heart, with a unique heart

and with an absolute heart. and that's the beauty of what "true love" is all about. and when i think about, you know, how do we kind of understand or what will be a great example of these four qualities, youknow, it reminds me of the story by hans christian andersen and the story iscalled, "the old man is always right." and it's astory about this farmer, a very poor farmer

who lives on this farm and has a smallcottage that he shares with his wife and one day he decides to go tomarket with the only valuable asset that he has, which is a horse. and you know, on the way to the market he meets up with a series of differentcharacters and he ends up trading, and for instance he first meets up with this guy who has this fabulous cow he is thinking, "oh, well my horse is much--

worth more, more valuable than that cow but that cow can give great, delicious, milk for my wife, so i should trade it in for a cow, and he does so. but then he goes a little bit more and thenhe realizes that, "oh, there's a sheep and that sheep can give wool and keep my wife very, very, happy and warm in the wintertime, so i am going to trade my cow in for a sheep.

and then he goes a little bit more, furtherdown the road to market and he sees another person with a goose and he says, "ohh, that goose is something that my wife had wanted. it would be perfect for christmas so i'm going to trade my sheep for a goose." and he goes a little bit further and decides to-- comes up on this man with a hen and decides that, "oh, i am going to trade-in my goose for a hen because then my wife can have fresh eggs."

and so, he takes the hen, goes a little further and finds somebody with a basket of rotten apples, and he says, "oh, a basket of rotten apples for my pigs, something that i didn't have before." so he trades in is hen for a basket of rottenapples, and he finally makes his way into thetavern. and in the tavern there are all sorts of characters and you know, this english gentleman who is very, very, richwith coins, coming out of his pockets, he looks at the man and he's heard aboutthe foolishness of this farmer's trading

on the way to the market and he kind of says to the farmer, he said, "you know, i would love to go back home with you, to the farm, and see what your wife says. and i bet you that your wife it's going to smack you for all thisfoolishness that you did along the way to the market." but then the farmer turns to thisenglishman and says, "well, i would wager your

bushel (of finery), of gold coins because i know that my wife, when she sees me with this basket of rotten apples, she will kiss me and she willwelcome me home and with open arms." and so in disbelief the englishman decides to follow thefarmer back. so the farmer and the englishman decide to tell the wife, you know, how they got to (hold), this basket of rotten applesthat they brought back home.

and each story, the husband says or tells the wife about trading the horse for a for cow, shesays, "oh, my wonderful, wise, husband you were thinking about bringing me fresh milk, you know, how wonderful this is." then the husband said, "well, my dear, the cow was traded in for a sheep." and she says, "oh, my dear, you thought about," you know, "goat's cheese

and all the woolen mittens that we could mit for each other, how wonderful you are!" and then thehusband says, "well dear, you know, i didn't stop with thesheep. you know, i traded the sheep in for a goose." and the wife exclaimed, "oh my wonderful, wise, husband, how do you know that i was hoping for a lovely goose for christmas? you are absolutely fantastic." and you know, of course, sitting next to thefarmer, the english gentlemen's jaw is dropping to the floor and probablyhit it couple of times because

he just cannot believe what he's hearing with his ears. and the husband goes on and you know, "but it's not the goose, i trade it in for a hen." and she says, "oh, you thought about how i love fresh eggs in the morning and how i wanted to have chickens and a chicken pen in the back of our cottage. how wonderful you are!" and then the husband says, "and i traded in the chicken for a basket of rotten apples because, you know, our mom

told us that we should always keep anapple on the counter because it's a symbol of prosperity and the last one was so old itblew up in everybody's face but now we have awhole basket-full." and then the wife just ran up to thehusband, grabbed the husband's face and said, "how funny you are, and how thoughtful you are. i love you so much." and she gave him thewarmest and the biggest kiss ever. and so, in theend of the day,

the storyteller says, "the incredible thing about this couple is that they're always going downhillin terms of the way the world might perceive what thesefoolish peasants are doing." what the peasant or the farmer did intrading his horse for cow and then for a sheep and then a goose and a hen and then a basket of rotten apples, is absolutefoolishness. but he did it out of the [laughs] lovingness of his heart without

you know, expecting or expectinganything, without calculating or thinking, "okay, well i'm gonna get thisfor my wife and she's gonna get that for me." he just wanted to make her happy. he was sincerely caring about his wife's happiness, not because he wanted to get-- receive all of these wonderful things from her but just because he loved her. and the wife, you know, is thinking that the husband that shehas is the greatest

thing on earth and he can do no wrong. and even thoughthe world may look at this couple as totally a foolish couple, the fact is, that even though they're always goingdownhill by world-standard, they're always happy. and so when you are constantly always livingfor the sake of others, wishing other people-- wishing otherpeople happiness, you're kind of creating a vacuum because you're

giving of yourself which allows the universe to swish-in and bring forth or bring into that space incredible blessing, incredible abundance and incredible love. so this story, in a nutshell, is a story about the magic of true love, in that may seem foolish, and i think manytimes a religious life does look quite foolish to the worldbecause we are

thinking about the other more thanourselves but when we do that, then we inspire the universe, we (inspire), you know, the universe comes and brings us all this blessing and all this abundance. and so this story is a wonderful tale of how, you know, it's not what you have, it's not how foolish you might appear to somebody, but as long as you are honest and natural

and genuinely grateful for the life and for every opportunity that are put in front of you, then because we are approaching life with a grateful disposition, all these magical things can happen. and i know that for once, that my father's-- this is kind of like his philosophy on life. he's never owned anything in his name.

everybody thinks he's one of the richestpeople on the planet. but the fact is, he never ownedanything in his name. everything was owned by the people, by the church, by the ( inaudible). everybody thinks he left, you know, fortunes for his children. he did not! he left nothing. but what he gave to us is this gift of an understanding of "true love" and the value, the importance of living for thesake of others, because that's where all magic happens. and even if the world takes everythingaway from you,

as long as we can have a grateful heart, as long as we can have a lovingdisposition, and better that, better than a loving disposition, actually learning and practicing how to care about the other person's happiness, 'just because,' with no strings attached, great and wonderful things will happen to your life, will happen to my life, will happen to our life. so just as rumi said, "whenever we can manage [chuckles],"

meaning, you know, it does take a little work to love without expectation, without calculation, without tallying points, [laughs] and without negotiation, which is extremely exhausting and tiring, then we can have heaven or then we can experience "kingdom of heaven" in our relationships. so when we look at the simplemathematical equation again, "one and one equals two," again the magic

is in the word 'and,' because that's where the homework needs to be done; that'swhere true 'rubbing' takes place and as long as we continue to practice with a loving heart, reminding ourselves how 'life best lived' is a life, "living for the sake of others,' meaning that we can wish happiness for the other person, then we can learn how to love

without measuring different conditions that are placed in front of us. so instead looking at our husband or a wife saying, "well, today, i love you because certainconditions have been met but tonight i cannot love you or i love you less because you didn't do,"a, b, c and d. or we may look at our parents and say, "you know, you just don't live-up to myexpectations." you should be more this. you should bemore that. here we go! controlling, restricting, limiting, qualifying,

our parents again. parents will takecare of themselves but what we need to do, is do what we need to do. and that is, you know, letting the other, freely love and when love is given, freely received, without expecting anything in return. and the same thing with our siblings. how many times do we look at our siblings and say, "well, you know, i will only help you," or "i willonly love you because you helped me"? what about just helping, 'just because'? or if a sibling says to us,

"well, you know, i'm really angry at you because you didn't live-up to certainexpectations that i had and therefore i will love you less because iam disappointed in you." many times we use the word'disappointment' because we feel 'dissed' by the appointment that we had each other, a certain kind understanding but if we realize that disappointments really come from a sense of emptiness and fear that we have in, you know, being sofrustrated and confused about

'what am i not going to get from you' or 'what are you not doing to me,' you know, then our lives are going to be a very burdensome and an exhausting life. but when we can just, kind of, 'let it go.' and let things be and wish the person well, wish the person happiness, and do whatwe can in terms of supporting, loving and empowering the other person and if the other person wanting agenuine and a true relationship, a "true

love" relationship, realizes that in order to have that, they have to work on the word 'and,' andalso reciprocate with a loving and a genuine and a natural kind of a love. then we realize that we can build incredible relationships, in our families, between our spouse and between our children, and between our parents,

and then the world becomes a beautiful place because we're not waiting for expectation, calculation and negotiation, just as rumi says. so i wish all of you a wonderful sunday and a beautiful week. and let's try to really learn how to care about the other person's happiness, 'just because.' just because we love them, and just because we want the best for them. and watch the magic of true love, take place,

in your life and in our lives. so god bless. take care. it homer home i'm vehicle shuttle stuff there's no means

there is a pic of her! the others are the content of the dvd the back is the production list again this disc is for that few songs and the other disc is the tour actually she really loves star a lot xd i really enjoy watching this dvd, there is also some backstage moments in it! here we come the under my skin era~ i only got the special edition hong kong ver. red cross and red cross xxxxxx take out this lyrics booklet~ lyrics in it and also some photoshoot pictures

lyrics and photos again~ there is a little poster inside the special edition i won't take it out because i afraid that i might break it! the other side of this poster is her album cover you can see this! i'm sad because this picture was cut in half due to the poster tt^tt i think that she is really beautiful and cool in this era the end~ all videos are not hd.... maybe it's because they are old #sadstory

don't tell me promo single i planned to buy the cd single not the promo one at first but i made a mistake.... here's the disc and the font is the same as the album and it's pretty~ here's the back. i think cd in card sleeves are very pretty. but it's hard to keep it can be broken easily... this is my happy ending european promo you can see the release date and the song name on this sticker this is promoting the album again~ here is how the disc look like~ you can also see the line "for promotion only, not for sale"

i always wonder is it legal to sell promo cd but these promo cds can be really expensive this is nobody's home japanese ver i really love this song so much!! there is the label of it the production list and the disc, just like the album, printed with the red cross~ the best damn thing deluxe edition hong kong ver~ given by one of my best friends <3 there is 2 cd. one is pink and the other one is white!

girlfriend japanese ver there is a cd and the this is the cover page it's sad that the jewel case has scratch but i'm just too lazy to change it...wth when you're gone. one of my favorite song <3 how's the inside looks like and the disc~ but the imperfect thing is the sticker is not parallel with the case!!! and also the best damn tour dvd i won't say this is my favorite tour but for the others, this might be a great tour to watch because of the lighting and the stage effect

i prefer she just sing without those effect~ there is a page inside song list and my avril <3 and the back i think the cd printing is pretty, avril on it~ actually whenever there is avril, it will be so pretty~ and the back i got over the hedge from the best damn thing era~ i bought it just to listen to her voice but actually she got just involved a little in the movie

if you expect to hear her voice more, i think it might not be worthy here's the disc.you can see her character is not even on the cover and the back goodbye lullaby era~ this is my favorite era... she is perfect and she treat lbs very nice and sweet <3 this is the special edition and it came along with 4 official postcards i wrapped them and sticked to my bedroom <3 this edition is good of value with many behind the scenes moments and i love the blue cover most <3 and... inside of it~ wth where is the disc i forgot to take the disc out after i transfer the songs to my computer last night... i'm scared!!!! nothing happen!!!! forgot it~

let me put it inside.... there is 2cds look inside the lyrics booklet~ lyrics lyrics and photos~ all are lyrics~ actually... i have a question.... who make these lyrics booklets so difficult to read!!!! she had fought with her record company for a long time just to release this album *sigh* hope that al6 will be better~ but al6=never haha what the hell eu single~ what the hell disc and the cover paper lol

this is european ver~ here's the back i've just ordered smile and what the hell promo what the hell promo has 2sides one side is avril's what the hell the another side is britney's hold it against me what the hell and britney's hold it against me released on the same date i think that what the hell had already did a great job to stand against britney's song! the last era... avril lavigne~ i bought the asian tour edition

it's a tragedy that i didn't attend her concert in hong kong /.\ here's to never growing up guitar pick~ and also the big head lavigne! and this woman hasn't release the new single there's 2cds inside but the extra cd only includes music videos but no any backstage or speech oops!!! there is only 3music videos in this cd no backstage moments!!!!!!

and there's a pic of her, but i don't understand why she thinks this is pretty to put into an album.... actually i don't really like this photoshoot... but maybe i've been waiting for a long time... i started to think it's pretty look inside~~ lyrics again~ this is the most beautiful page i think there is lots of good songs in this album but she didn't make it to be a single i think it's because of her record company and also she was sick /.\ otherwise, give you what you like would have more promotion!!! this is here's to never growing up taiwan ver

i put the label inside the case but it's well preserved xd and also a chinese lyrics note with english lyrics at the back and the cover is just a single page and the cd.... the teddy~ not the teddy, avril is hugging me actually :d rock n roll cd single, taiwan ver again and i put the label inside the case too...

again, there is a chinese translated lyrics with english lyrics at the back the translation is strange... and here's the label~ and this is the disc design her hand xd here's the back~ the last one~ let me go~ this is taiwan ver again... my all three singles in this era are all taiwan ver... i love this song so freaking much especially the feeling in the song the label~

there is chinese translated lyrics note but the english lyrics is not printed at the back it printed on here and i kinda like this design xd i love how elegant the font is <3 the back~ and the epic logo... *sigh* avril couldn't do what she want under epic... yay~ here's are all of my avril's cds britney's cds? i will share them next time! leave a like if you enjoy this video~

if you have anything to say, comment below~ let's stop here~ see you in the next video. bye <3

i still remember it like it was yesterday though it was countless moons ago after "he" was defeated not much of our once beautiful home was left and the two brave ones that stood up for usall ruled equestria from then on one day, the younger one saddened by our daily struggles proposed to form a new colony

were all of us would grow strong and happy but the elder one, forbade it... for she felt that would divide and shatterthe weakened kingdom forever nopony knows that we are still here smiling beneath the moonlight while remembering our dear mother for we, will forever be her children of the night

come little children i'll take thee away into a land of enchantment the time's come to play here in my garden of shadows follow sweet children i'll show thee the way through all the pain and the sorrows weep not poor children

for life is this way murdering beauty and passions hush now dear children it must be this way too weary of life and deceptions rest now my children for soon we'll away into the calm and the quiet

our signmagic online design tool isn’t justfor signs anymore – you can now use it to accurately design & price the lettering youwant to display on your van signs. but there’s a trick to using signmagic forvan signs. once you know this simple “trick”, it’ll save you a lot of time and frustration. black slate: where do you want to displaythe message on your van? the very first step to design & price yourvan signs is to measure the key areas where you want your advertising message to appear.for example, on this particular van, a 2’ by 6’ box fits comfortably on the side.underneath that, i have a 6” x 7’ area for text. and don’t forget the most importantspot of all when you’re sitting in traffic

– back doors. for safety, the drivers behind you have tokeep an eye out for your brake lights. so their eyes will be automatically drawn toyour advertising message. this particular door will comfortably fita 17” x 29” box. so where do you start? let’s start with the large upper space onthe side of the van in signmagic. the space measured 2’ x 6’ so first, we’ll selectthe product we want from this drop down list – if you want a printed decal that basicallylooks like a big bumper sticker, you could select decal. however, i’m going to clickon “vinyl letters”. since there’s no

background, your letters and graphics willlook as if they have been professionally painted right on your van.the great thing about vinyl letters though is that you can remove them later. that way, when you eventually sell your van, you’ll preserve the resell value. once you clickon vinyl letters, select the closest size to your measurements – in this case … wehave the exact size. now that you have selected the size, thisbox in signmagic represents the 2’ x 6’ area you have to work with. since there’ssome extra space on the van outside of this area, you can actually fill this entire rectanglewith anything you want – text, graphics, logos and even a full-color photo. in othervideos, i’ll show you exactly how to create

a design like this, step by step. once you have your first design ideas puttogether, you can save your design & instantly see your pricing options. for example, ifyou need lettering for only one side, just choose a quantity of 1. if you want both sidedlettered, choose a quantity of 2. if you have two vans you want to get lettered, you canselect a quantity of four. the more sets you buy at once, the more you’ll save.but keep in mind, if you have windows on the passenger side of your van, you’ll haveto adjust the size of your design to fit that area. the standard 3 year rated vinyl is the lowestin price. if you plan on keeping your van

more than 3 years, we recommend the premium5-7 year rated vinyl. and this third option is for reflective vinyl. when the headlightsshine on reflective vinyl at night, the vinyl lights up!when you’re ready to continue, select the pricing option you prefer and add to cart.you can always change your selection later if you want to.to continue designing, just click on this button that says continue designing. you canmake additional changes to your existing design and save it under a different name (like vanside top 2) to compare different designs – or you can start a brand new design to letterother areas of your van. there are 2 ways to start a new design. ifyou want to start with a blank slate, just

click this red button that says “new design”. however, if you prefer to preserve the formattingof your first design like the colors and letter styles you’ve chosen, you can click hereto edit the size and then choose the next area on your van to design.

Shaker

- [voiceover] hieveryone, kristina here. welcome to another card video at my youtube channel and blog. today i'm going to be creating a really fun shaker card, and i'm going to be incorporating some tips that i've learned from you guys here at youtube or over at my blog. i always stash away those tips you share

with me in the back of my mind for a future card video, and i'm gonna share a couple of those tips with you today. my first tip has to do with this heat-resistant acetate. this is supposedto be an acetate that's good for heat embossing, and i discovered that it's really static-y. the powder sticks to places where i don't want it.

one of you guyssuggested that i should add a little bit of water to the acetate, clean it off and dry it off, and then try embossing. i did it once without, and the powder was everywhere. it was a big mess, but this time, when i cleaned it up, it was a little bit easier to get the embossing powder only in areas where i wanted it. the stamp i'm using today is from mama elephant, and it's from the thankyou wishes stamp set.

it's a brand-new stampset from mama elephant, and i've stamped it in versamark ink. now i'm sprinkling on some rich pale gold embossing powder from wow. i'm gonna tap off the excess, try to shake off as much as i can, but it doesn't get everything off. there's still some powder bits here and there, so then i took a paper towel,

and unfortunately, thisis sort of off camera, but you get the idea. i took a paper towel and wiped away whatever powder i couldaround the outside edges of that stamped image, and then took my heat tool and heat set it. it's just gorgeous. you can see that beautiful gold shimmer and shine, and it's on top of thisclear window piece.

it's really, really neat. this is going to be the window area for my shaker card. i'm now gonna work on the die cutting around that area. i've got two circle dies. both are from simon says stamp. this is just the nested circles die set. i'm going to take thelarger of the two dies, and cut out the window piece. i'm running that throughmy big shot machine,

and you can see the circle piece cut out really easily. this particular acetatedie-cuts seamlessly. it's really, really beautiful. now you're gonna notice that my cutting plates change, because i realized that my cutting pads were so worn out, so i took out the red ones that i bought a while ago, and now i'm using those to die-cut the smaller of the two circles

out of some white card stock. i'm using some ranger multi-medium matte, just squeeze that out around the edges of that circle frame, and then press the acetate right down over the top. this is going to create thefront window of my shaker card. now i'm gonna start working on the actual shaker area. this is where theother tip comes in that i got from you guys.

one of you guys in the comments said you know what, it's so much easier to do shaker cards if you remove all of the release paperfrom your foam adhesive and then shape it around your window. i was like "this is genius!" this is my first time trying it, and let me tell you, it lives up to the hype of this tip. it's fantastic.

i can't believe i'vebeen making shaker cards so long without doing it this way. first i doubled up on my 3m foam tape, just so it's a little bit thicker, and the sequins can move around alittle bit more inside. then i released both sides of the release paper. this makes it so that the foam can really stretch and bend all the way around that circle shape. i cannot even tell you guys how excited

i am to know how to do this, because circle shaker cards were kind of the bane of my existence before, because you had to cut up a million foam pieces and space 'em all out just right. this way, there's no break in any of the foam, so if you're going to be adding some really small beads or even glitter or something like that, none of it

will escape the shaker area. this is fantastic. i can't recommend this technique enough to you guys. it's wonderful. unfortunately, i do not recall who shared this tip with me, but thank you, bless you. thank you so much for sharing this tip with me. i can't believe i hadn'ttried it until now. so i put that foam all the way around

the circle area, then i added some more foam to the corners, just so that everything lays flat once i've assembled it. i'm taking my powder tool and just dusting a little bit of powder around that foam just to get rid of any adhesive that might be sticky around it. i probably should have wiped down that window plastic with that acetate

a little bit more, 'cause in the finished piece, you can see a little bit of that powder, but it's not a big deal in the long run. i'm now using a mix of green sequins from little things by lucy abrams. i love her mixes of sequins. then i took a square of dark chocolate card stock from simon says stamp, and just pressed that down onto that shaker area,

and that completes the shaker mechanism. the only thing i have left to do is to actually put it on the card front. i want it to look as though this shaker is directly on thecard base, so i'm using the same color of brownfor the card base, which is the dark chocolate card stock from simon says stamp. put some tombow xtreme adhesive on the back of that,

and then adhere that directly down onto the card base. it was looking alittle bit plain to me, so i took a ground espresso marker. this is a distress marker from tim holtz, and i'm just adding some dashed lines around the outer edge of that circle window. this is going to give it just a little bit more detail, and help it to look more finished.

so that's the card for today. i hope you guys enjoyed. i will be back with another card video very, very soon. until then, thank you for watching, and i will see you guysin the next card video.

all right eight detective riddles to test how awesome your logic skills are today brightside gives you the opportunity to feel like a real detective by solving cases using just a few hints after each riddle you will have 15 seconds to think it over if you need more time to think just pause the video, and if you crack at least one mystery hit the like button alright sherlock here we go counting down from number eight escape once a famous detective stevenson had to find an escaped prisoner he knew the criminal was hiding in one of these houses

but he had to know the exact address so as to not frighten the criminal away first he took a photo of the houses with the help of a drone when he looked at the photo he realized where the criminal was so can you understand where that fugitive was and what helped the detective find him? you have 15 seconds your time has started are you ready to check your guesses the murderer was in house a you see the car standing nearby was the only car parked facing the road it would let the criminal escape quickly number seven detectives tragedy

one morning the detective had an argument with his wife and went away without his cellphone and the keys in the evening when he returned home. he found his colleague his scared wife and a murdered man stephens wife told her story i was sitting in the living room when i heard the doorbell i thought it was my husband and opened the door, but a criminal pushed me and so i stabbed him with a knife the detective ordered the policeman to arrest his wife because she had planned to kill him how did the detective figure it out time to wrack your brain unfortunately mrs.. stephens indeed plan to kill her husband she went to open the door with a knife because she thought it was her husband

number 6 friendly murder mary and ben lived with their four friends one day ben came home and found mary dead on a sofa bummer he called the police the detective arrived and realized that mary had been killed not so long ago he interrogated all four friends. that's what their stories told mia was in the kitchen and said she'd come home two hours ago and gone to the kitchen john was reading a book in the garden. he said he hadn't left the place that day jennifer said she had been swimming in a swimming pool for three hours jane was painting in her room

unexpectedly the detective asked everyone to show him their hands and found out who lied to him immediately that person was the murderer how did stevens uncover the criminal time is ticking away tick-tock who do you think the detective was checking? well time is out here's the answer pay attention to the hands of jennifer if she had been swimming in the pool for so long the skin on her palms would have been wrinkled oh jennifer you're pruny hands gave you away number five blood ties a

millionaire was shot in the forehead at his own home detective stevens spoke to the millionaire's three sons jack, john, and james who were at home jack said that night john their father. oh, let me guess the wife's name is jane i'll bet anyway the father had been at an official reception they arrived home and entered the living room his father came in first then john and jack himself when their father came up to the stairs james entered the living room and shot their father john confirmed jack's information james said he had visited his friends that night when he arrived home his father had already been dead the detective understood everything immediately, so who was the killer and how did stevens resolve that case?

what do you think? the word of one brother against two others a tricky case or have you already figured out what happened let's check if you were right john and jack lie if james had killed their father a bullet would have shot him in the nape because he wanted to go upstairs however the wound was on his forehead. all right. i was thinking it was jane, but now number four romantic journey mr. and mrs. clyde went on a trip to the mountains, but two days later, mr. clyde returned home alone he went to the police and said that mrs. clyde had fallen to her death the next day detective stevens visited mr.

clyde and arrested him for his wife's murder clyde confessed his guilt and asked the detective how he found out he was the murderer steven said he simply called a travel agent and asked for some information what did the travel agents say to the detective what is your version did it have anything to do with the insurance perhaps you have just a few seconds left do you know the answer the words of the travel agent shed light on the whole situation mr. clyde bought two plane tickets to the mountains and only one return ticket ah if only mrs. clyde had known a

blamed the beatles she didn't have a ticket to ride number three liar a man told the police that he had come home from work to find his wife's dead body lying in the middle of the parlor he said she had apparently found his gun in his desk and shot herself however the policeman knew at once that the man was lying how did he know fifteen seconds is all you have to solve this mystery the policeman noticed that the man had an empty gun holster attached to his belt it meant he'd either been about to take the gun with him or had it on him all along the former couldn't be true because he said he'd come home from work and found his wife dead

that's why we are left with the latter not the leather, the latter which proves that the man had actually shot his wife number two silly murderer the detective was speaking to a doctor in a waiting room when a dismayed man rushed in and screamed somebody shot my wife the detective asked the man to tell him everything the man mr. clark said that he was at work when his housekeeper called him and said that something terrible had happened to his wife and that she was in the intensive care unit he hung up immediately and went to the hospital when mr. clarke finished his story the detective arrested him on the attempted murder charge why did he do this

can the detective read minds what is your opinion you have just a few seconds left to make your guess in fact mr clark didn't know anything about a shot his housekeeper only said that something bad had happened to his wife no firearm had been mentioned by the way are you also keeping count of how many couples are killing their spouses so much spouse aside what does this say about our society well firstly the killers all screw it up, but i digress finally number one the murder of an aristocrat george smith was murdered on sunday evening there were five other people in his house mr. smith's wife i'm betting she did it his personal cook a butler a housemaid and a gardener

they all told detective stevens what they were doing that evening mrs. smith was reading a book near a fireplace the cook was making breakfast the butler was giving instructions to workers in the living room the housemaid was washing the dishes the gardener was watering plants in the greenhouse, right after all the conversations the detective arrested the murderer who was the killer and how did stevens find the criminal will you be able to solve this riddle in 15 seconds if you want more time to consider this case you can always pause the video

well what is your answer? the criminal was the cook of course he was i knew that all the time the murder was committed in the evening but he said he was making breakfast he had to pay more attention to what he was saying you know what i think mrs. smith paid the gardener to kill her husband because he was having an affair with a housemaid it all fits so let's wrap this up how many riddles have you solved and which ones seemed the trickiest? write to us in the comments below share this video with your friends to have more fun and remember to hit the like button if this video gathers 50,000 likes we will prepare a new portion of detective mysteries for you

looking for education research? eric has over1.5 million records of journal articles, reports, and books related to the field of education, including many peer reviewed and full-text materials. eric is a free resource fundedby the u.s. department of education's institute of education sciences. the search engine ateric.ed.gov uses powerful and intuitive discovery tools to deliver relevant, recent contentwithout the need for complicated searches. the easy-to-use search returns quality matchesfor your terms across a set of key eric fields including: title, author, source, abstract, and descriptors from the eric thesaurus. the results will include all records withyour search terms or their variants in the key fields. for example, if you search forthe term “read,” you will also pick up

records that include “reading," “reads,”and “readers.” you can get relevant results with a simplesearch. rather than using boolean operators, such as “and” and “or,” try puttingmultiple terms in a simple string. eric combines terms in a way that reduces the need for quotationmarks or advanced search logic. search results are sorted based on the mostrelevant matches. in this example, the search results are timely and the search terms appearin the titles, descriptors, and abstracts. check the box “peer reviewed only” toretrieve only peer reviewed journal articles and peer reviewed non-journal materials fromthe institute of education sciences. to see only records with full text, check the boxfor "full text available on eric."

you’ll find limiters on the left side ofthe results page to help narrow your findings within the most frequently searched fieldsin eric. the number to the right of each limiter represents the number of matching recordsin your results. for example, there are six peer reviewed, full text records from thenational center for special education research in the results from this search. you may addmultiple limiters to your search criteria. while the majority of research needs can beeasily accomplished with a simple eric search, there are some cases when a direct field searchis useful. one example is when you are looking for recordsby an author with a last name like young, which is also a common term in education.if you search for “technology young,”

you’ll get records on technology for youngstudents, as well as records by authors named young.a field search by author, however, using the format "technology author:young," will returnonly records by authors or co-authors named young who wrote journal articles, reports,or books about technology. note, however, that you can typically obtainbetter results by not limiting your searches to specific fields.if, for example, you are searching for author ruth curran neild’s work on high schooldropouts, searching with "author:“ruth neild” and descriptor:dropout" produces four results.however, the basic search “ruth neild dropout” yields the same four articles, as well asthree additional articles that are relevant

to your search.these additional results mention ruth curran neild’s related work in the abstract, butaren’t retrieved when the search is limited to the author field. the new results include:a summary of research on dropouts that features her work, a book in which she wrote a chapter, and a reference to a companion research report that she co-authored.using eric’s powerful and intuitive search engine will allow you to easily and productivelysearch the 1.5 million education-related materials available at eric.ed.gov – your free, onlinepath to relevant, recent content without the need for complicated searches.for questions, or to provide feedback, contact the eric help desk via email or phone.for more from eric, visit us on twitter, facebook,

i'm tom blankenship and we're my morning jacket. i'm jim james. i'm patrick callahan. hi i'm patrick. hi i'm carl. and this is 'what's in your bag?' got these that i released. 'jim jam gems' i put these out last fall and i just want to kind of promote...

promote my product. so these are really great, i already know those. one of the most underrated albums of all time, james 'laid.' which people unfortunately remember because of the single, 'laid' which is a good song but it's kind of annoying but the whole rest of the album is just a mind-blower and i've always wanted it on vinyl blood orange, 'coastal grooves' i was looking for the newest record and i couldn't find it

so i thought i'd picked this one up keith jarrett, 'facing you' it's a solo piano improvisation. he's kind of my hero. he was the reason why i started to get into improvising and stuff like that i just think he's the greatest improviser alive, maybe to ever live. it's not what he plays, it's how he plays it and he's still around, he's really prolific gotta see him.

yeah, man, seeing him live is like a spiritual experience but don't make any noise because he'll stop the concert i came in looking for '36 chambers' i couldn't find that, it is on order, but i did find a record store day release and i'm particularly infatuated with method man right now and this has method man's song on it, four different versions and, in relation to that, i'm also infatuated with the method man/redman album i love his approach to rhythm, the way that he rhymes

and the sound of his voice it's real raspy, and he just has a great way with words jim bought a barney kessel guitar so i started listening to barney kessel, because we were like, 'who's barney kessel?' 'soul rebels,' bob marley. jim kind of hipped me to this jim gave me this long playlist of bob marley stuff a lot of old, kind of rare stuff i'd never heard before and a couple of the songs are on this record, so i thought i'd get it it's like air, water, and food. it's that essential. those songs.

yeah. and look at this album cover. the sexy soul rebel. it's bad ass. yeah it's cool. young mc, 'stone cold rhymin' one of the greatest records. classic. i mean, i can't imagine any other record that i listened to in middle school that i still listen to on a monthly basis sturgill simpson. kentucky proud.

i've heard a couple songs on this and i really liked it a lot the production on that record's really cool. it's like country music with indie rocker... i don't know what kind of production you would call it but...creative production. yeah i like now he sings about turtles ripping your intestines out. that's the selling point, really. i went ahead and got two classics, c'mon. so that's my hip hop section. man, you need to have me over.

yeah? well, you'd have to ask nicely. so thelonious monk, when he's just by himself at the piano is so insane it's sort of beginners jazz for me, because i don't really know too much about jazz but when i listen to him just play by himself i could just listen to it over and over again. you can kind of hear him grunting and stuff when he's playing. so awesome. this new alabama shakes record is unbelievable i couldn't believe how unbelievable it was. i really couldn't believe how great it was.

i also got the alabama shakes record. nice. man, what a killer record, so exciting to have peers of your own, people you know making great music that you want to listen to. as musicians, we always go back, i think, to get inspired, y'know it's rare that we get excited about a new band, and we're so proud of them that they made such a great record, it sounds so good it's just so creative i think it's 10 times more creative than the last one

and just the song construction is so cool, there's some elements that you're just like... and her voice has matured so much. she's really learning to sing subtly. it's unique. it's fresh. 'pink moon' by nick drake. what a great record. it's amazing that he went so kind of under the radar for so long y'know until that volkswagen commercial, then everybody was like, 'oh my god, who is this guy?' we were listening to his mom's record. molly drake. have you ever heard that record? that record is unbelievable. i would've bought it if i didn't already have it.

i have public enemy, 'it takes a nation of millions to hold us back.' my friend tim, who i already referenced, who fell asleep during metallica there was one whole summer between 8th grade and starting high school that we listened to this record and another one back to back and we would play super street fighter 2 turbo, for super nintendo and we just stayed in his room and ate frozen pizza y'know, microwave pizza, and listened to these two records it's a lot of good memories. and the other record was ice cube, 'amerikkka's most wanted'

then i got some skip james. i haven't listened to any delta blues in a while i've been reading about the mississippi flood in 1927 so i thought i should have a soundtrack for that i'm glad we're not trying to top one another so i got this nina simone 'nuff said' this is twice that jim has been mentioned in this but he played this for me. it's a song called 'why?' and in parentheses: (the king of love is dead) she wrote it right after she found out that martin luther king was assassinated. it just knocks your knees out. it's so emotional.

sonny boy williamson. i've always kind of had a blues protest i mean, i know the blues is an essential part of music but i get tired of everyone talking about the blues all the time but i feel like i'm having my sonny boy moment more gregory isaacs. apparently this is his classic. he's basically the reggae crooner. if you wanna fall in love and smoke weed and lay in bed all day on a sunday, put on gregory isaacs sounds good.

everly brothers. i realized i don't own any everly brothers on vinyl. what can you say about the everly brothers? kentucky's finest. i didn't know this existed until today, this is john fahey's christmas album. i mean, how many times can you listen to the elvis christmas album before everybody goes insane? i've been collecting 78s for a few years now try to give them a good home, because a lot of people just kind of chuck 'em to the side and i came across the original soundtrack of the wizard of oz there's just something about judy garland's voice

did you go to the smithsonian when we did that tour? no, i didn't get to go. we had a friend who worked at the smithsonian and they had all the costumes in a drawer so we're seeing the scarecrow costume in the drawer, and the ruby slippers wow. it's terrifying. it's just so weird. i heard one of these songs at a restaurant, and i shazam'd it. i've heard a lot about him and i've heard this record's amazing.

so i'm looking forward to that. he and madlib are like the coltrane and miles davis of that genre. of sampling? yeah. and then another classic, 'the soft bulletin,' that i don't have on vinyl the first time i heard this record my brain exploded. game changer. unbelievable. one of the greatest parts about joining my morning jacket back in the day was just

being exposed to music that i hadn't really been exposed to for whatever reason and this was one of those records. last but not least, i've wanted the... again, i've got all of this on mp3 but just have been wanting to get the vinyl for awhile can't beat fela. i don't know what i do without his music, it's so powerful. i think he did a lot of great stuff for the world that's the end of my bag. i have one more: dj jazzy jeff and the fresh prince megamix sampler

nice. 'summertime's on there? that's the reason i bought it. i now realize that it has 'parents just don't understand' too, so... and then, megamix...i don't even know what these other songs are is that a mix that megaman did? i believe so, yeah. i think it's the megaman soundtrack.

this little piggy went to market. this little piggy stayed home. this little piggy had biscuits. this little piggy had none. and this little piggy went, “wee wee wee!” all the way home. this little piggy drew a picture. this little piggy danced around. this little piggy had a long nap

and never made a sound. this little piggy flew an airplane. this little piggy took a taxi. this little piggy rode a skate board and skinned his little knee!

no, this is not working. you are frustrating me again.what is 'this'? this means us. i am sorry. i know it'scoming like a surprise. why are we even together, radhika? because we want to get married, jai. you want to get married ordo you want to marry me? i don't understand... whatsort of question is that? it may sound complicated butit really is very simple.

at arjun's wedding.. ..i realised that though we aretogether we really are far apart. it's because our prioritiesare different. tell me.. ..when was the last time.. ..we really did somethingtogether from our heart. i just want to be honest.. .. that's it. what are you getting at, jai?

probably the plan itself is wrong. i mean somewhere along the waythe plans scored over love. but who knows... right? perhapsthere's someone else for us... who will love us...for the real reasons. the right reason. someone else? you met someone else? i did! but neither am i with her noris she madly in love with me. there's no such thing like that.

she has nothing to do withour situation. i swear! have you told your mom? she is sure to kill me! i was hoping you couldbreak the news to her. coaster! i mean, i am the strong type but... i thought something likethis would shatter me. but i'm not.

isn't that strange? we could remain friends... i mean,if it's alright with you. i need some time, jai.i'll call you. jai.. .. if ever wish to pursuethe girl you've met... please do it after you'vechanged your habits. it will create a good impression. - hello. - hi, busy? just working for the exhibition.

it's because of him thatwe ran out of henna and... it's also because of him.. ..that gayatri's hennaceremony was so much fun. i danced a lot today after ages. there's still more... i'm back after the wedding..- i'm back after the wedding.. ..and everything seems so different. life seems incomplete, asif i left something behind. i even turned my bags upside down.

i guess the change isn't aboutthings and places, it's about me. gayatri was right, andperhaps so was ritu. the change is jai. how i wish i had met jai years ago! i'd have all thecourage and the liberty.. ..to express my feelings to him. but dhruv... ..he is a part of my life.. ..and i'll have to face him.

what will i tell him? you silly girl! the truth, first toyourself and then to me. naina, you and i were always friends. it was much later that wedecided to be with each other. but it doesn't meanthe decision was right. i wanted to tell you, dhruv... but... it all happened... a little too quickly, right?
