blind blake's police dog blues is like theopen d blues song. many great players have covered it includingmy favourites: jorma kaukonen and hugh laurie. who actually plays it is standard tuning. it was his version that inspired us to coverthe song although our version was based mainly on mike dowling's arrangement with the uprightbass and mandolin. we thought if we added some banjo and fiddle we got ourselves a tasty bluegrassjam. check it out.
