when sister location and the silver eyes werereleased, fnaf lore became twice as dense, and twice as confusing as ever. many theorists scrambled to analyze everypart of the game. treesicle, matpat, dawko, myself and manyothers battled it out for the fnaf crown in hopes of finally understanding what was goingon. i ultimately settled on the fact that thepurpose of sister location was that children’s souls were being harvested and being infusedinto animatronic bodies to make them sentient life. basically children’s ghost + creepy robotics= possessed machines.

sound crazy? welcome to fnaf. of course, many things were thrown out thewindow as the custom nights were introduced - the afton character debate finally had somelight shed on it, and we were left more confused than ever. it was almost as if scott cawthon’s storywas completely fluid with multiple possible outcomes. in some ways it seemed as if the theoristsof the internet wrote the story for him by boiling down all the information present into2 - 3 possible outcomes that he could chose

from. we debated back and forth, had some fnaf fisticuffs, and scrutinized the story to the few outcomes it could possibly be, and scott could justchoose what was most interesting. of course, this probably isn’t likely - butit would be pure genius if it was. if that was your plan scott, my hat is certainlyoff to you. so where are we now? well recently we were just hit with a slewof new information to make things even more interesting. a series of website updates that lead to teaserimages after hidden numbers were derived from

the main image’s background. in addition to this, text was derived fromthe source code of the website and it gives us a conversation. however, these teasers appear to be for twodifferent things: what people are assuming is sister location 2, and confirmed imagesthat represent the twisted animatronics for the new novel. on the sister location side of things - orat least what is assumed to be, we have the following exchange between animatronic charactersand a set of eyes to go along with it. now this exchange of dialogue is heavily believedto be between baby and the other animatronics.

it’s almost as if baby is being ousted fromthe group, and the set of eyes we see are actually her. on the novel side of things, we have threetwisted variants of animatronics that are quite interesting. there are what appears to be boils all overtheir body, and they heavily resemble nightmare variants similar to fnaf 4. bonnie in particular has several sets of teethand fleshy gums. they are also drooling what appears to besaliva, which makes this whole situation a tad different than usual.

the last image is that of a wolf animatronic, except it appears to be half robot and half animal. the wolf looks as if it’s shouting and isready to attack as well. there is a glitchyness that overshadows thisimage, and the edges of the image are blurred out in a circular wave-type fashion. all of this is quite bizarre, given that upto this point we have always been dealing with manmade animatronics… but before we go any further - the books andthe games operate on separate timelines, on that same front though, that doesn’t meanthere isn’t any overlapping details that

can influence both sides of the stories. while the plots differ, elements from eachcan still help us understand the possibility of what could be going on in the differenttimeline. and that is exactly what i’m going to talkabout next. however, there’s spoilers inbound for thetwisted ones, so if you haven’t read the book yet, abandon ship! cover your ears! punch your monitor! (actually don’t do that)

if you’re still here, you’ve been warned! so let’s talk about the twisted ones, asit just randomly came out early a few days ago. within the book we begin to find out moredetails about these twisted animatronics, and what actually makes them so demented looking. when you start to think about it, there aredefinitely some parallels to the nightmare versions in fnaf 4. the biggest thing of all is the mentalityof the viewer who is perceiving these beings. this is why the teaser images come acrossso odd looking as if they are paired up with

elements you wouldn’t expect on an animatronic. the truth is, these new animatronics are coveredin a gelatin like coating that makes the mind go a tad crazy when looking at it. think of it as sensory overload and as ifyou were trying to focus on an object in front of you but your mind was having trouble executingthat task. the brain becomes over-stimulated by whatit’s perceiving, and everything that is happening is overwhelming the mind. things become a jumbled mess to the perceiver, and often times the only way to gain peace of mind is for them to remove themselves fromthe place it is happening in.

this coating on the animatronic begins tocause a visual overload, and the mind tries to correct it by filling in what it is seeingwith rational visuals. but there is something else that pushes theviewer over the edge… and that is within the animatronic itself. inside the animatronic is a metal disc-likeobject that emits a piercing sound that throws the person who hears it into an overloadedstate. couple this with the coating on these beings, and the mind tries its hardest to piece together what it’s experiencing. however, the mind’s stance on these animatronicsplays a large role in what it is actually

happening though. if you are fearful of the animatronics, theybecome even more horrifying then they actually are, and on the flip side - if you are a childwho sees them as friendly, they come across as something less vile. the mind creates an illusion based on theperson’s feeling of them, and this is why these drawings appear so twisted. the boils we see across the images could representthe outer appearance of the animatronics in the middle of changing to conform to whoeveris watching them. with the wolf image, the perceiver is rationalizingthis animatronic as a living being and the

mind is battling between the two thoughts. this is why the image appears to be glitchy,as the person’s mind can’t decide what it is actually seeing. the blurred edges of the frame portray theanimal shouting fos ro dah style, and the human on the receiving end is unfortunatelyalready under its spell. but i know you’re probably wondering whatthis has to do with sister location or the other fnaf games, as this is clearly a separateuniverse. well, i think there are some common occurrenceswe can derive from this novel that fit nicely with what was happening in sister locationand five nights at freddys 4.

the map in sister location shows that fnaf4 took place relative to this establishment. the bear with the walkie talkie makes it appearas if someone was shaping this child’s experience in fnaf 4, and that sound played a large rolein all of it. what if this same principle was used to enhancethe nightmare forms of the animatronics, and this methodology was being perfected in sisterlocation? it would offer a second explanation as towhy this testing facility existed in the first place. besides to torture children and eventuallyturn them into ghosts like explained in my first theory video, it offered a dual functionalityto also test out audio pitches and tones that

messed with the mentality of the person whoheard them. tones that normally can’t be perceived byhumans are called infrasounds, and they have been noted to cause stress and other alimentsin humans if exposed to different degrees of sound pressure. beyond this, there have been various studieson ghost sightings in regards to exposure to certain frequencies - where the perceptionof the subject had been skewed due to the sounds causing them to think they saw somethingthat wasn’t really there. it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to saythat is what was going on in sister location, and that this helps offer a little more clarifyon the the nightmare versions of the animatronics

- as the fnaf 4 child with the flashlightwas terrified of what lurked in the dark. perhaps as the next installment of the seriesroles out we’ll gain a better understanding of what is actually going on in these darktales. the introduction of sound-induced conditionsmay be the puzzle piece we need to put it all together. but, now that i’ve dumped that all on you,i’d love to hear your thoughts. do you think the science behind the twistedones could coexist within the game world despite it being two different timelines? and if so, how could this influence things?

i’d love to hear your thoughts, so pleaseshare them in the comments below - and if you enjoyed this video, consider droppingme a like. and with that… thanks for tuning in to this terrifying journeyinto audio manipulation of the mind! if you’d like to join me on my youtube voyageand continue to solve the lore behind fnaf, then the subscribe button is just what you’relooking for. thanks for watching guys and gals, and untilmy next video, cheers! swankybox recently split into two channels,so if you like nostalgic gaming stuff, consider checking out swankybox nostalgia.

there’s a slew of other theories on thischannel too, so regardless, i hope you enjoy!
