boston international states, i mean the jazz festival started what, 1953. the number of artists that have come through the place duke ellington orchestra ,miles davis, it's just a list it's so long and we're actually on that list now. being prepared is the most crucial part of any gig. a gig like this you got to be at rehearsal. you got to be a great musician, on your own. you got to be able to work with the band as a team. when people say, "oh that looks so easy" they forgot that you've been practicing for weeks and weeks on end. there's this one song that we play and there's always that one part where i feel like we're all together and it's like the best feeling. it's amazing because there is so many people watching you and you know you never know who's out there
and it's just great playing for such an awesome crowd. you know when people get going, they have solos when their just having fun, looking around and smiling at each other. definitely just helps keeping people at ease on stage. it was really absolutely incredible to be playing such a prestigious jazz festival. maybe representing uri in front of thousands of people. it was really quite an awesome experience.
